Description

On a demi oval shaped silver metal and epoxied device 1 1/8 (2.86cm) in height blazoned as follows: Quarterly Argent and Murrey, a cross counterchanged. Behind the shield a cross trefly quartered Argent and Murrey. Attached below the shield, a black scroll inscribed INTENTUS AUXILIUM in Silver.



Symbolism

The quartered cross trefly is adapted from the Maryland state flag, in tribute to the units location at Fort Meade. The cross is indicative of medical aid, and its counterchanging of the field alludes to the integration and support of Fort Meade and beyond. The motto INTENTUS AUXILIUM translates to Determined Help. The colors White and Maroon are associated with the Army Medical Corps.
